Tricks and Treats by Trees

It started to snow last night

And Halloween is in two days.

Late, in the dark

I went to see

How the trees were

Bearing

Fall and Winter

All at once.

So quietly they tricked me

All dressed in their ghost costumes

Cold, eerie, mysterious and spooky.

But this morning they treated me

All set in Fancy Dress for

Carnival, Pageants and Masquerades.
